We are so appreciative of Joel and his team. They completed a total renovation of our primary bathroom.  The final plan helped us to add elements of (future) “aging in place” including the beautiful roll-in shower.

While the work was in progress we were delighted by the skill and courteous demeanor of each worker.  They were very friendly; they always let us know if they needed to change a time when they planned to be here.

When we saw how well the work was performed, we added another major job: new trim and doors on the entire second floor.  Darren was our “go to” skilled craftsman.

I highly recommend Joel Wheeler and Capstone Contracting Group. My home on Skaneateles Lake was built in 1960. It needed a lot of work. My wife and I talked to neighbors and researched online. We interviewed 5 companies to transform many features from both the inside and the outside of our home.  We both agreed that working with Capstone was our first choice. We had many ideas and very little experience with contractors. Joel thoughtfully helped us organize a 16-month plan to achieve all of our goals, while still being able to fully enjoy our home during construction. The results were incredible.

Our projects included: Our dream lakeside screened in porch, with over 600sqft of space, 3 huge Marvin sliding glass doors, 4 state-of-the-art expanded windows replaced old non-functional windows, Replacement of old carpeting with beautiful flooring, Expansion of several doors to make rooms wheelchair accessible, Addition of a completely new master bathroom using previously wasted attic space. Creation of a first-floor laundry room with a handy shower and utility sink. Several small but very important plumbing features around the house. A complete replacement of our home electrical grid, including new lakeside lighting and outlets by the dock. A complete remodel of the outside of our home, replacing old cedar shingles with an attractively designed vinyl siding with new complementary trim and facia.
