Joel is a Managing Member and Co-Owner of Capstone Contracting Group. He graduated Magna Cum Laude with both a B.S. and M.S. in Sustainable Construction Management and Engineering from SUNY ESF.

Joel has held a range of positions within the construction industry including Carpenter, Carpenter Foreman, Production Manager, Project Engineer and Project Manager in both residential and commercial construction.  These positions have provided Joel with a solid understanding of the intricacies of core and specialized construction processes and procedures.

It is Joel’s core belief that quality craftsmanship and professionalism must be paramount in every project Capstone performs.  He and Virginia firmly believe that providing their clients with highest levels of distinctive service, uncompromising quality and professionalism will ensure Capstone’s continued growth by implementing long-term relationships with their clients and facilitating a solid portfolio of repeat and referral business.

Joel enjoys traveling and spending time with family.

Virginia is a Managing Member and Co-Owner of Capstone Contracting Group. Virginia is a graduate of Syracuse University with a B.A. in Economics, after which she received her MBA from LeMoyne College. Virginia spent her early career in Management in Commercial Finance followed by a decade as an Asset Manager for a local Commercial Real Estate Development Company.

Virginia’s prior positions afforded her with amazing mentors and wide-ranging experience in a variety of disciplines, including Accounting, Finance, Management, Marketing and Human Resources.

Joel and Virginia have been together for 35 years and are made of the same work ethic, values, determination and vision.  After decades of working for others, the opportunity to come together to create a joint venture was irresistible.

The goal was to build a company that defied the traditional stereotypes of the industry - to create an enterprise that was responsive, consistent, and reliable. A company that ensured not only client satisfaction but focused on employee growth, development and happiness.

Virginia enjoys traveling with her family.  She loves the family’s 17-year-old cat Chico and 12-year-old Aussie Charlotte. She spends her summers working with her fruit trees, berry bushes and gardens and her autumns preserving the harvest.

Len has a passion for design, and architecture. He is a graduate of Utica College of Syracuse University with a B.S. in Construction Management. He also holds an A.A.S. in Architectural Technology from Onondaga Community College.  He began his career producing designs & house plans for local builders in Central New York. He then worked as an estimator in commercial construction for several years before working for a premier builder in Skaneateles as an Estimator and Project Manager.

Len has several years of experience producing residential architectural drawings by hand, along with Sketch-up 3-D modeling. Len has 30 plus years of background in structural frame design, loads transfer, beam, and joist sizing using ForteWEB by Weyerhaeuser, and Javelin 3D modeling.  

Len took on the role of Project Manager/Estimator for Capstone Contracting Group in July of 2022 and looks forward to many more years of challenging and rewarding projects.

Len has run many marathons, including Boston, and is an active member of the Syracuse Track Club, and the Onondaga Cycling Club. Mostly Len prefers to be home and likes spending his time with his girlfriend Chrissy, his daughter Marissa, his large family, and friends.
